Power Athlete HQ.Cost:.Free-$50/Month Why We Like Power Athlete HQ: Power Athlete HQ, has a strong emphasis on producing explosive, powerful athletes; which can be attributed to John Welbourn former NFL defensive player.
After spending 9 years as a professional athlete John retired and went on to create the Crossfit Football Program, another power athlete program under the Power Athlete HQ banner. If you’re looking to increase your athletic performance, this program will without a doubt take you to the next level. 4.Dogtown Crossfit.Cost:.Free (Individualized Programing Available At Cost) Why We Like The Dogtown Crossfit Blog: With over 4 decades of training experience, Dogtown Crossfit offers their daily wods available online for free. 5.FYF Training.Cost:.Free-$275 Why We Like The FYF Training Blog: Crossfit Soul is home to FYF Training, a program that is designed to develop athletes for the sport of fitness. Icon Athlete was started by Crossfit Games Veteran Chris Spealler, with an emphasis on increasing intensity rather than increasing volume like other competition style remote coaching programs.
Icon Athlete utilizes Beyond the White Board as a backend, so all you data analyst types should find all the extra statistical data on your lifts rewarding. If your looking to improve your snatch, clean and jerk, or squat as a supplement to your crossfit programming, this is it. You won’t find metcons here, but you will find a program that will provide you with more exposure to the olympic lifts, which in turn is the issue that most crossfit athletes are missing in their programs. This program is best used as a supplement to what you are already doing as there is no conditioning pieces to maintain aerobic capacity. Also note that the program comes in two flavors, the original barbell wod and the barbell won plus. The biggest difference between the two is increased volume and more days of programming. Typically more high level competitive athletes will opt for the barbell wod plus. While this is not an exhaustive list of all the online programs available, we feel that this list covers some of the best available in terms of program features.
Always make sure that whatever program you chose, you work with someone who can review your movements and make sure they can correct any possible movement issues.
